Republicans on Medical Reform; not just the party of NO
Monday, November 30, 2009 at 1:09PM On many of the talking head shows, all one hears is that the Republicans are the party of NO on healthcare reform. The PDF file below from the House Republican Study Committee, the conservative wing of the House, shows that they are not just against the attempts by the Democrats to further entrench the Federal government in medical care but they actually have a few ideas of their own on how best to improve medical care via the market. Not all of the bills are necessarily worth supporting but they do offer a glimps into an alternative to the ideas being put forth by Speaker Polosi. We will be reviewing many of the bills in greater detail at a later date giving them either a thumbs up or thumbs down depending on whether they lead to the enhancement of creativity and innovation in the market, increase choice for patients, freedom for doctors to actually practice medicine and limit corporate state intervention.
