Physicians Urged to Declare Independence from Government, Other Third Parties

aaps The Single Party finally bought enough votes to get the Senate-passed healthcare reform through the House, but its victory celebrations may be premature, states the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS). AAPS has been a voice for independence of doctors and patients since “healthcare reform” was first promoted in 1943.
Millions of Americans protested in Washington, D.C., or in their local communities, and called and wrote to Congress in record numbers. Polls showed a large majority were opposed to the bill. They will not believe that this infamous process represents “government by the people,” as the President claims.
The bill will immediately create some 16,000 new jobs in the IRS, plus thousands in new bureaucracies to plan, monitor, assess, and enforce compliance. A heavier tax burden and costly insurance mandates will eliminate many more jobs—also in medical facilities.
“Physicians have tried to warn Congress that more government intrusion will drive as many as half of them out of practice,” stated Jane Orient, M.D., executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. “With limits on fees despite increasing costs, many can’t afford to pay their bills,” she said. Even more say that onerous bureaucratic rules and hassles make it difficult or impossible to practice good medicine.
When sick patients are found to be ineligible for treatment, or are stuck waiting in a long line, Drs. Slaughter, Pelosi, Obama, Sebelius, or other “reform” architects will not be available to take their calls, Orient predicts.
Programs—such as Medicare and Medicaid—that are already unsustainable and bankrupt cannot be salvaged by piling on still more obligations.
“The only safety net is private physicians and facilities,” Orient states.
Hundreds of physicians have signed the Physicians’ Declaration of Independence. Every day, more physicians are discovering that they can serve their patients better, and at a reasonable fee, by cutting all third parties out of the transaction.
“Opting out was the best thing I ever did!” commented one physician responding to an AAPS survey.

The government needs to keep their hands of our Healthcare. There are other and more effective ways to resolve this issue. For one reform programs that are already here like Medi-Cal etc. Do not give it away to anyone. It should only be for legal citizens starting with the Parents of children who are born here. If the parents are not legal neither are the children who are born here. Make it also available to those who are working and go by their income and number family members as to how much they can contribute to it. And upgrade the quality of care given by it.
And remember: obamacare is completely unconstitutional. Here are the arguments:

It is also shown there that we don't have a "right" to have others forced to pay our medical expenses! My "need" does not permit me to require YOU to treat me for free.
The bill that passed calls for a 21% cut to doctors on medicare rates in 8 days, then a 2% annual cut for a decade until rates are cut by 41%. Medicare rates are already under cost, it is immoral to ask docs to work at one half of cost. That's called slavery!
Opt out of Medicare and Medicaid. I have lots of cash patients at MediBid that want a cash doc who's not an "insurance provider"
The healthcare problem was the cost, which is driven by 1) The cost of medical care, 2) Usage of medical services 3) Law Suits, and 4) Taxes and administration. This bill does nothing to address ANY of those costs except to cut medicare rates by 41% over 10 years. Do you think docs will continue to work for a 41% pay cut? I don't think so!
We don't need change, we need solutions, and solutions can only be developed by American business. MediBid has such solutions, you simply register for an account, post your medical request, and before you know it you're shopping for healthcare across state lines. MediBid creates competition among medical providers which does not exist in today's system of price fixing my Medicare and the AMA.
Simple procedure, amazing result. www.ProjectGaltsGulch.com
Let's face it. The fight is over. We lost. I commend the AAPS for trying, but the power and the general interest of the politicians and the public is already set in motion. We should not be at war, but in this hostile environment we need to do what we can do with what time we have left on this earth. Any relationship required with third party payers ie government etc.... is a losing b attle for all Physicians.
God bless you all,
Les
