The featured speaker will be attorney Nick Dranias, who is Director of the Center for Constitutional Government at the Goldwater Institute. He will discuss the lawsuit filed against ObamaCare by Tempe businessman Nick Coons; Arizona congressmen Jeff Flake, Trent Franks, and John Shadegg; and 28 Arizona state legislators.
Dr. Jane Orient will give a brief report on AAPS activities, including:
- AAPS v. Sebelius, the first and so far the only lawsuit against ObamaCare by a national medical organization;
- AAPS v. Texas Medical Board, scheduled for oral argument in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, sitting in Houston, on Oct 6; and
- The Oct 14 off-site public meeting of the Arizona Medical Board, which several Tucson physicians will attend.
- Proposition 106, the AZ Health Care Freedom Act.
