AAPS President Lee Hieb, M.D. will appear in Iowa on Monday October 4th along side Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli and candidate for Iowa Attorney General Brenna Findley. When ObamaCare was signed into law on March 30, 2010, Mr. Cuccinelli was one of the first Attorneys General to file suit to protect the citizens of his state against the unconstitutional individual mandate to buy insurance.  Similarly, AAPS was the first and only national physicians organization to challenge the PPACA in federal court.

Dr. Hieb and Mr. Cuccinelli are appearing in support  of Iowa Attorney General candidate Brenna Findley, http://www.findleyforiowa.com/.  Ms. Findley has pledged to join the Virginia lawsuit if elected.  The Tea Party rally featuring Ms. Findley will be held at Park Farm Winery near Dubuque, Iowa from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. UPDATE on AAPS Lawsuit Against ObamaCare

On August 23, AAPS amended its lawsuit to include several new challenges to federal control of physicians and patients.

The amended complaint seeks to vacate aspects of HHS regulations regarding physician PECOS enrollment and NPI registration.  It also challenges the burdensome regulations imposed on physicians who opt out of Medicare to enter into private contracts with Medicare patients.
