We are convening and urgent meeting of the Take Back Medicine working group on medical liability reform to hammer out your White Paper with recommendations to Congress.

Sal Bianco of The Doctors Group will brief us on the latest provisions in bills currently under consideration by Congress, then we will discuss the recommendations you want to include in our document to be sent to all Members of Congress, and to be released at a news conference in September.

As you know, liability reform has received short shrift in the current proposals. It is up to doctors to get them back on track with an outline for a comprehensive stand-along bill addressing this crucial issue – one that doctors – not politicians— say will get the job done!

We’ll discuss:
Caps
Collateral source
Periodic payments
Practice standards immunity
I’m sorry provisions
Good sam & disaster immunity
And others…
